Trading in the Zone?
Trading- How Bad is Bad?
Trading the last few weeks have been very unusual. Normally I will place a trade which lasts until expiry. I have to date opened and closed 2 of these and ‘missed’ 2 more…. just this week. 18 years trading but still a bit dim! Missing trades is as bad as losing. Bad trading is a really bad habit.
Limit Orders Are The answer
In the UK we still use telephone brokerage. It’s great. They understand what I’m trying to do and get me good prices. What I frequently forget is the good old ‘limit order’. I can buy and sell using this facility. I am busy with other things frequently but I have a chaotic mind and fail to use this.
So what Did I Miss?
Could have added another 8% to my account with 2 of the easiest trades ever, and which have so far worked so well. The horse has bolted for now. I’ll be looking for other trades, but- this is again another lesson that I must learn. If only I had someone pestering me. Someone who has more interest in money than I.
What IS The Trade?
I do not wish to get into specifics as it may lead people to try it now. When it won’t work. Suffice to say that VFTSE has been the guide, and low volatility gives us a nice trade entry, paying <10 and closing out for >30. I only need one of these a month I’ve already had 2, and missed 2 more. What else is this ridiculous market going to serve up next?
